Content Moderation
Users can submit trip and share trip reports through the Northwest Portal Maps and Apps. To submit a trip report, you must create an account with our partner TOTAGO. Northwest Portal reserves the right to moderate this platform to ensure all participants are safe from harassment and malicious, inflammatory and illegal content. Accounts and trip reports must meet the following rules:
Usernames cannot be defamatory, obscene or include language which could be deemed offensive. This includes the creative use of characters and symbols to hide explicit content and must not impersonate members of the public or elected officials.
Trip report submissions should focus on the recreation or business experience and must meet the following terms:
No personal information or contact information about another participant,
No defamation, personal insults or harassment of an individual or organization.
No comments that disparage people based on race, sexual identity or orientation, religion or political affiliation or other protected characteristics.
No comments promoting illegal activities including, but not limited to, violating fire bans, restrictions on specific activities on given trails or areas, avoiding paying fees and violating closure orders.
Images should be your own and not subject to moderation.
Trademark useage guidelines
Washington Hometown and Northwest Portal are projects of Manastash Mapping, LLC. The trademarks, service marks, trade dress, and logos (“Trademarks”) associated with these brands represent intellectual property rights owned by Manastash Mapping, LLC and as such are valued assets of Manastash Mapping. These Trademarks, whether registered or unregistered, must be used in accordance with these Trademark Usage Guidelines (“Guidelines”). You may generally use these trademarks to refer to the associated products or services.
